Our Fabrication Capacity

As with many trades within the construction industry our primary contract supply fluctuates seasonally. To maintain our skilled workforce, we also offer a subcontract fabrication facility to offer both architectural glazing companies and similar industries our services. Our factory has been specifically designed to undertake specialist aluminium fabrications. We are often asked to fabricate many various components, including:-

We operate a quality assurance programme, which is based upon the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001: 1994. Whilst we primarily fabricate aluminium in house, we are also asked by our regular customers to utilise our industry contacts in the supply of mild steel and stainless steel components.

With our experience originating within the architectural glazing industry, we pride ourselves upon processing works within tolerance, our quality control and despatch procedures. We are also frequently asked to batch split orders and to deliver them in a specified packing sequence to assist with site handling efficiency.

Our Aluminium Machining

Our Factory is fully equipped for the cutting, machining, drilling and tapping of both standard system extrusions and standard aluminium profiles.

Our machinery is capable of the following operations:-

Machining Slots, Holes and Profile Modifications

Cutting Profiles as large as 500mm x 400mm in section

Single Headed Compound Saw Cutting

Double Headed Compound Saw Cutting

Acute angle cutting

Accurate Hole Positioning and slotting

Our Sheet Metal Facilities

Our Factory is fully equipped to manufacture sheet metal components. Specialising in the manufacture of insulated panels, cladding and architectural pressings/flashings.

Our machinery is capable of the following operations:-

3.1m CNC Guillotine capable of cutting 1mm - 6mm thick sheet/plate

3.1m CNC brake press capable of folding 1mm - 6mm thick sheet/plate

Punching, notching and profiling

Aluminium TIG welding

Our Welding Facilities

Our Factory is fully equipped for the welding of aluminium components. Typical fabrication requests range from small/single bespoke items up to large/multiple assemblies. We are able to process single prototypes/samples to specification, in addition to repetitive product runs that are high in volume.

As a company we utilise TIG welding facilities. For an efficient and accurate service, our welding benches are machined and tapped for the use of studded bridging blocks. These assist in achieving tight tolerances and due to the increased efficiency of our welding facilities, we pride ourselves upon a high quality, cost effective service.

Quality Control and Despatch

As part of our quality assurance programme, all components (or a statistical quantity on repetitive runs) is quality checked both during fabrication and once completed.

Prior to despatch all materials and components are appropriately protected using various types of packaging to ensure there is no damage during transportation.

Our quality control inspector ensures that all materials and components are clearly labelled with the contract reference, part reference and batch quantity. All our factory engineers are proficiently trained in the reading of engineering and fabrication drawings, ensuring all products fabricated are within the tolerances specified.
